I’m Shawna - I’m a Human Potential Detective.
As a kid, I loved Nancy Drew, a teenage detective who always solved great mysteries. Along with wanting to be a rock star, scientist, and wildlife photographer, I was convinced I’d have great adventures like she did.
In a way, I am.
I just turned that curiosity toward people — how we think, how we behave, and why we sometimes feel stuck even when we want change.
I’ve always loved reading about psychology, health, philosophy, and personal development. I wanted to better understand myself, others, and how we make our way through life. That curiosity never left.
Since 2007, I’ve been working as a Professional Life Coach. Along the way, I’ve continued to deepen my work through training, adding to my diploma in Holistic Health Therapy and studies in applied neuroscience, Emotional Freedom Technique and NLP.
But more than anything, my approach has been shaped by nearly 20 years of working with real people through real life.
How We Work Together
I help you notice patterns that aren’t always obvious —in your thinking, your habits, your decisions, and how you respond to challenges. When you can see those patterns clearly, you can begin to change them.
And that’s where things start to shift.
Together, we:
-
Identify what’s actually getting in the way
-
Clarify what you truly want
-
Create practical, realistic ways forward
It’s about making sense of what’s going on and finding a way forward that feels right for you.
What It’s Like to Work Together
You’ll be supported, challenged, and guided, all at the same time, and you won’t be doing it alone.
I’ll ask thoughtful questions, offer perspective, and help you stay focused on what matters most.

My Life On Purpose:
-
Coaching, collaborating, and connecting with others
-
Reading anything that helps me better understand people and the world
-
Watching great movies (and occasionally quoting them in sessions!)
-
Taking care of my body with good food, movement, and Pilates(and in my world, chocolate is definitely its own food group… and a superfood)
-
Wearing blue
-
Spending time with my wonderful husband, Jodi
Living On Purpose looks different for each of us, but it often begins with greater awareness, thoughtful choices, and a willingness to move forward.
